DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Check all reimbursement (including but not limited to verifying all receipts, assess prices, sum calculation, etc), compiling and filing all vouchers;
• Book keeping and data entry;
• Conduct tax filing and tax declaration;
• Ensure that all local financial information/report/data are accurate and delivered on time; Identifying areas need for improvement in relation of the financial aspect for the whole office and make changes accordingly
• Ensure all the transactions, payments, and procedures follow the WORLD ANIMAL PROTECTION China Financial Policies & Procedures Manual
• Ensure balance sheet and reconciliations are properly managed, bank reconciliation are managed accurately and efficiently
• Resolve local banking/tax issue
• Conduct internal and external audit with auditors
• Financial Reporting
• Other tasks related to finance as assigned;
QUALIFICATIONS
• Accounting certificate (essential), basic accounting certificate will be fine
• Accounting equivalent experience required
• Excellent communication skills – written, oral
• Excellent software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills and knowledge
• Knowledge of accounting and tax policies and practices in China
• Excellent reconciliation skill
• Team player and self-starter
• Proven ability to co-ordinate and contribute to diverse teams, some of whom will be based in other countries and cultures
• Highly organised, ability to work to strict deadlines
• Sensitive to social and cultural issues
• Fluent in both English and Mandarin (essential)
• Flexible and able to embrace change positively
